Generative AI in Adobe Creative Cloud
Generative AI can help make new and more creative work that takes less time which gives you more time to make your work higher quality and give extra detail. It can help you create creative content, alter existing content or even remove pieces of content.
To do all of this there is a wide range of tools and apps like: Midjourney, Dall-E, RunwayML, upscale.image and many more. They are all over the place, for example: Midjourney uses the Discord interface, Dall-E has its own website and a lot of stable diffusion models are available for download.
Because of this you constantly switch between different apps like photoshop, discord and web browser which doesn’t improve productivity. Adobe will be changing this with its whole suite of AI tools it has made available and is planning to make.
Generative Fill
First off, creating new content is an important part of content creation. Adobe just released a new beta feature called generative fill. With this new feature in Photoshop you select a spot with your lasso tool, there pops up a little prompt field and you can generate any asset you can imagine. You can even put cats everywhere (Definitely not looking at you Ben).
Image extension
A cool tool that already existed on Dall-E is the new image extension tool in Photoshop. With this tool you can generate background to images that aren’t big enough or have the wrong aspect ratio.
By making a selection on one or even all sides of an image there will pop-up a prompt bar where you can type in your desired background. You only need to click enter and Photoshop will generate a few options that you can choose from to make a background.
Automated subtitles
Making subtitles always was a time consuming task until now. Within Premiere pro there is a new subtitles feature that allows you to automatically generate subtitles.
Besides generating the text for subtitles it also automatically times them and places them on the right frames. This makes a task that can take a couple of days to only take a few hours at most.
Generate vectors
A new feature Adobe is working on is generating vector designs in illustrator. The new feature will allow you to make a vector of a drawn image or even make a vector of a prompt. This will allow for really fast paced drawing and makes it easier to fix the mistakes AI’s still make.
