It feels like we're at a significant turning point for AI video generators. Just a few months after OpenAI's Sora captivated social media with its text-to-video capabilities, new contenders like Kling AI and Luma Labs Dream Machine are now making headlines.
Let’s take a look!
Kling AI
This new "video generation model," called Kling AI, is developed by Kuaishou, a Chinese rival to TikTok. Currently available only as a public demo in China via a waitlist, Kling AI has nevertheless gone viral, showcasing impressive clips that suggest it matches, if not exceeds, the capabilities of Sora.
Kling AI is a sophisticated video generation model that creates high-resolution videos up to two minutes long at 1080p and 30 frames per second. Utilising a 3D space-time attention system and diffusion transformer, it accurately simulates complex motion and physical interactions.
Examples of its capabilities include generating scenes like a boy riding a bike through changing seasons or a cat driving a car.
